This easy no egg honey biscuit recipe will turn much nicer than brought ones. Why not? It’s made with love, affordable, full of flavour, free from additives, and best of all create unforgettable memories for my kids.

For me, baking at home is both stimulating and relaxing at the same time. Kids can involve in making this kind of biscuit. That’s means lots of fun and creativity opportunities to your little ones.

Easy no egg honey biscuit recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Oatmeal
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 100 g butter (3.58 ounce)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp Rose water
  • A pinch of salt

No egg honey biscuit method:

1- In a big bowl, put the dry ingredients (the flour, Oatmeal, baking powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt), and combine them together.

2- Add the butter. Using your hand, incorporate the butter with the dry ingredients to make a well-combined dough.

3- Add the Brown sugar, honey, rose water and sesame. Use your hand to combine them to make a well-formed dough. Place the dough in the fridge for 10 minutes.

4- On a flat surface, put the biscuit dough between two baking sheets. Roll the dough out to a thickness of around 1/4 inche.

5- Use a pizza cutter to make equal sized squares (the size you prefer). Then use a fork to make the biscuits shapes.

6- Move the biscuit with the backing sheet to a baking tray. Bake it on a preheat oven on 150 °C for 15 minutes until it’s golden. Cut it again carefully using a pizza cutter to separate the biscuit pieces. Allow to cool to have a crispy texture. Serve with tea or milk.

Important notes about this recipe:

1- You can make this dough in advance and store covered in your fridge or freezer. Bring it back to room temperature before attempting to make balls.

2- This honey biscuits are freezable. You can freeze it for up to 5 months. Defrost at room temperature.

3- Honey biscuit is also very suitable for lunch box. I pack it for recess time and my son loves it. I also pack Oatmeal raisin cookies, or kleicha (cardamom date cookies) as well.

4- You can use vanilla instead of rose water if you prefer the vanilla honey biscuits flavour. You can also use cardamom or cinnamon.
