It’s 5 o’clock in the morning, my morning routine as a mom

From the time I heard about the 5 o’clock club concept and how does it change the life of the people to the best, I started trying to be a part of this club at least for 4 days a week. I set a morning routine and tried to stick to it as much as I can. I decided to share this routine with so that I give you some inspiration if you want. So, it’s 5 o’clock in the morning, my morning routine as a new mom will be 5 things I do normally before my kids wake up around 6am.

What’s mom’s morning routine?

A morning routine entails rising 30-60 minutes before your children/family. You then purposefully use this time to care for your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. A morning routine is composed of activities you engage in for your benefit during this small window of child-free time. In other words, it’s pure happiness and a powerful technique for moms-on-a-mission.

Why do you need a morning routine as a mom?

1-To set an intention for the day:

The way we begin the day frequently dictates how the rest of the day will unfold. Much of being a mom involves reacting to and responding to the needs of others. Utilizing the time before others require your assistance to get your head in the appropriate place and accomplish the things you truly desire will enable you to reply gracefully when they do.

2-To gain extra time:

We all lament how busy we are—how little time we have. The reality is that none of us utilizes our time as efficiently as we can. As mothers, though, any time we find during the day is at risk of being disrupted. Not only does waking up early provide us with additional time to do critical chores, but it also enables us to maximize this time by working without distractions.

3-To experience less stress:

Motherhood is stressful—there is a great deal to worry about, a great deal to do, and an onslaught of stimuli. Early risers have the opportunity to indulge in stress-relieving activities such as exercise, meditation, or stretching. Additionally, it enables us to work on projects solely for our benefit, which makes us happier.

It’s 5 o’clock in the morning, my morning routine as a mom:

Before I start my morning routine list, I have to remind you that what works for me shouldn’t necessarily work for you. As I mentioned earlier, the idea of the healthy morning routine is to get some ( me time) away from the stress, and enjoy what you love to do.

The 5 o’clock club is not ideal for the moms that suffers a lack of sleep with a newborn.

My morning routine as a mom

1- The First thing of my morning routine is prayer and meditation:

If you desire to do your life’s greatest work, it needs to start with prayer. God has uniquely designed you to serve him in your gifts and abilities that he has given you. But if you simply wake up each morning and start being busy, you are likely going to miss out on the blessings and opportunities from God that day.

2- the second thing of my morning routine is staying hydrated:

I usually drink 3 cups of water with pieces of lemon before the breakfast. Consuming water first thing in the morning re-energizes our bodies. Additionally, it assists in waking you up and providing energy. It also can boost your metabolism, and that can definitely help you with losing baby weight journey.

3- The third thing of my morning routine is Exercise:

According to research, those who exercise in the morning are significantly less likely to skip a workout than those in the evening. Why? Because if we wait until later in the day to exercise, it’s far too easy to find excuses not to.

Additionally, it will assist you in having a better day. You get to cross something off your list, boost your mood, and jumpstart your energy level first thing in the morning.

Morning exercise is also a natural remedy for stress, and can also boost the mood. That’s why Morning exercise can help with postpartum depression, and stay-at-home mom depression and loneliness.

4- The fourth thing of my morning routine is reading something that lifts my spirits:

As mothers, it’s natural to feel as though we don’t have time to read anything beyond bedtime stories, school newsletters, children books, and food instructions.

However, scheduling time for uplifting (and mature) reading assures us to reap the enormous benefits of mental expansion. You may read a parenting piece, a religious text, a self-help book, or any other book that inspires and raises you.

5- The fifth thing of my morning routine is enjoying my hobbies:

After I finish the four steps above, the remaining 15-20 minutes before my baby girl wakes up is the golden minutes. I enjoy crocheting which is my absolute favourite and most enjoyable thing I ever do.

Sometimes I enjoy painting, or simply just relaxing on the sofa.
